The latest redesign of the Google Groups search interface seems to have completely broken the advanced search. This page reproduces the previous search form, and - at least at the moment - seems to work OK. I've also taken the opportunity to change a couple of default settings to what i think is more usful - it now defaults to searching by date, rather than "relevance", and gives 50 results per page instead of just 10. If you want to use Google's original defaults, then you can switch back to them in the options.

I have no idea how long this search form will continue to work, as Google may well change the underlying system so that the whole search syntax changes. Buy I'll leave it up for as long as it continues to be functional.
